\"Jen<\/a>My name is Jeneen M. Stickney, but most people just call me Jen. I was born in Michigan and grew up in Door County, WI. Today I live in the Fox Valley area of Wisconsin with my husband and two daughters. I have been passionate about writing for as long as I can remember. There’s just something so addicting about getting lost in a fictional world and being able to take other readers there with me.<\/p>\n

I love to spin the web of my imagination. Most of my inspiration comes from my dreams. I’ve always been interested in dream journaling but it wasn’t until I had a particular dream that I started seeing my dreams as great plot ideas for novels. In my dream I was reading a book and was completely enthralled by it. I was hanging on every word. It was exciting and had such great potential to be a really great book. But then I woke. Still too caught up in the dream and the feeling of having just been reading a great book, I thought to myself, “Why can’t I<\/em> write books like that? Everyone else always has such great ideas.” Then it dawned on me that it was a dream and that I could<\/em> write that book because it was my <\/em>idea! Knowing how quickly dreams fade from our consciousness, I jumped out of bed and headed straight for my computer. I sat down, frantically typing, \u00a0until every moment of the dream was logged.<\/p>\n

Ever since then I’ve been dreaming up great story ideas and writing them down so that I can expand upon them and make them into novels. I have logged dreams in notebooks and on my tablet or laptop in the past but I’ve decided to switch to a blog because it is so much more accessible (phone, laptop, tablet…you name it!)\u00a0Plus, having my own blog allows me to share some of my ideas, thoughts and quandaries with others.<\/p>\n

I’ve posted my writing online before and I always enjoyed getting feedback from people that happened across my work. If you like my writing, let me know by posting a comment. If you don’t like it, feel free to share why. I know my style won’t be for everyone but there is always a chance that I may learn something new from constructive feedback.<\/p>\n
